Grandparents.

I've been unbelievably blessed in my life. I was 14 when my great Grandmother passed and 19 when my great Grandfather passed. I was so lucky to really know them, and even now I still feel the pain of their loss whenever I see their photos or think about them.

And here I am, 33 years old...and I still have all four of my grandparents. I was lucky to grow up just a few miles from each of them, and the hardest thing about living away from where I grew up is that I really miss them. They are all incredible people whom I admire and love so much. The thought of losing any of them is more than I can bear.

My Papa Wayne (my dad's dad. He's 86) was admitted to the hospital yesterday and is not doing well. Emilia and I are flying to Idaho first thing tomorrow morning.

Things are going to be quiet around here again.

Prayers for your fam. I was also blessed - my great-great grandma passed away when I was 5 & I have alot of memories playing army men with her. My oldest dd was lucky enough to meet 2 of my great-grandmas. I still have 1 grandpa & 2 grandmas living unassisted.

Mom told me about your grandpa. I will say a prayer for him and for your grandma. They are indeed both lovely people and have always been so proud of you and what you've done. I am sure that the sight of Emilia and you will be a blessing to them both. And what a great photo of your grandpa and the dog.
